ACS Omega is a fully open access journal with a broad, multidisciplinary scope that includes the scope of the more than 60 ACS Publications journals as well as some topics and types of results other ACS journals don’t publish. It welcomes both pure and applied sciences, as well as the interfacing areas of science, including biochemistry, chemical biology, materials science, nanoscience, pharmacology, geochemistry, industrial chemistry, environmental chemistry, chemical engineering—and more.

ACS Omega focuses its editorial decisions on the research itself, not on the perceived evaluation of immediate impact. It publishes high-quality new findings, studies that demonstrate the reproducibility of existing research, large datasets, and noteworthy negative results.
