Vapor phase deposited perovskite solar cells

Abstract

Vapor phase deposited perovskite solar cells
Perovskite based solar cells, mostly employ solution processed perovskite layers. Evaporated methylammonium lead iodide perovskite layers have also been reported and been employed in solar cells. Our group has developed several perovskite based solar cells, using vacuum based perovskite preparation methods. We will comment on some novel approaches to prepare these perovskite films and present improved efficiencies and stabilities.

Biography

Hendrik (Henk) Bolink obtained his PhD in Materials Science at the University of Groningen in 1997 under the supervision of Prof. Hadziioannou. After that he worked at DSM as a materials scientist and project manager in the central research department. In 2001 he joined Philips, to lead the materials development activity of Philips´s PolyLED project. Since 2003 he is at the Instituto de Ciencia Molecular (ICMol) of the University of Valencia where he initiated a research line on molecular opto-eletronic devices. He directed 21 PhD thesis and has been PI of ca. 20 industry funded research projects and of 17 European funded projects. In 2019 he received an Advanced Grant from the European Research Council. Currently his research group encompasses 19 persons, and he is supervising 10 PhD students. With over 310 publications, 14 patents and an H-index of 70 (WoS). His current research interests encompass: inorganic/organic hybrid materials such as transition metal complexes and perovskites and their integration in LEDs and solar cells.
